1. Overview
We understand that sometimes plans change. This Cancellation Policy describes the conditions for cancelling reservations and applicable refunds. It is important to read carefully before making a booking.
Flexible Policy: We offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before the check-in date without any penalty.
2. Refund Table
Refunds are calculated based on how far in advance the cancellation is made relative to the check-in date:

3. Specific Conditions
3.1 Free Cancellation
- Cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before check-in.
- Full refund of the deposit (50% paid online).
- No administrative fees.
- Processing within 5–10 business days.
3.2 Late Cancellation (less than 48h)
- Cancellations between 24h and 48h before:
- Refund of 50% of the deposit.
- Retention of 50% as a cancellation fee.
- Processing within 5–10 business days.
3.3 No-Show
- If you do not show up without notice:
- Total loss of the paid deposit (50%).
- Additional charge of the remaining 50%.
- No right to a refund.
- Reservation considered completely utilized.
4. How to Cancel a Reservation

Response Time: We process cancellation requests within 24 business hours. For urgent cancellations (less than 48h), please contact us by phone.
5. Reservation Modifications
5.1 Change of Dates If you wish to change the dates of your booking (instead of cancelling):
- More than 7 days before: Free change, subject to availability.
- Between 3 to 7 days before: Change possible with a fee of 10% of the total value.
- Less than 3 days before: Change not permitted (must cancel and create a new reservation).
5.2 Change of Room Type
- Upgrade: Payment of the price difference.
- Downgrade: Refund of the difference up to 48h before check-in.
5.3 Reduction of Stay
- More than 48h before: Proportional refund.
- Less than 48h or after check-in: No refund for unused nights.
6. Special Circumstances
6.1 Emergencies and Force Majeure In exceptional situations, we may consider exceptions to the cancellation policy: serious medical emergencies, death of an immediate family member, natural disasters, or government travel restrictions. Please contact us with supporting documentation; we will analyze each situation individually.
6.2 Cancellation by Monte Madeiral If we are forced to cancel your reservation for operational reasons: immediate notification, 100% total refund, and assistance in finding alternative accommodation.
7. Refund Processing
- Request processing: 24 business hours.
- Refund issuance: 5–10 business days after confirmation.
- Appearing on statement: Depends on the bank (may take up to 15 business days).
- Method: Exclusively to the original card used. No bank transfers or alternative cards accepted.
8. Early Check-out Policy
- With 24h notice: Refund of 50% of unused nights.
- Without notice: No refund.
9. Groups (3 or more rooms)
Special conditions apply: higher deposits (up to 100%), stricter cancellation windows (up to 14 days), and negotiated terms.
10. Disputes
Contact us first to resolve issues amicably. We review cases within 5 business days.
11. Exceptions & Responsibility
- Not covered: Personal plan changes, finding cheaper options elsewhere, booking errors, or normal weather conditions.
- Not responsible for: Non-refundable travel costs (flights), bank delays, or international transaction fees.
